Pattern: Seaton from RYC Classic Coast by Martin Storey
Size: 40″
Yarn: RYC Cotton Jeans in Blue Wash and Blue Jeans
Notions: Mother of pearl buttons, 150 cm of 15 mm ribbon, 3 snaps
Modifications: I had to add some snaps in between the buttons to stop the button band from gaping.
Start: August 28th
Finished: September 4th
I’m not crazy about the neck but that’s my fault because I forgot to switch to 4 mm. needles instead of 4.5 mm for the neck band. Oops.
Anyone know how to stop the little ends of yarn to stop popping through the fabric? I always have this problem with cotton.
I can’t believe it myself but Seaton is complete. It’s undergoing another steam blocking to try to add some length and get the button band to lie flat but here is a sneak peak:

I’ll get some modeled shots when it dries. I went with mother of pearl buttons instead of silver and I like how they look.
In other exciting news I got my first secret pal package!

I got the patterns for Sahara, Rusted Root, some nice handmade lip balm (how did SP know of my lip balm addiction!) and soap. I love it! Thanks SP!
I also posted the next set of knitting stitch markers to Etsy:
